I first began photographing the Flora and Fauna around Huff House, near the entrance to Rice University, in the spring of 2010, when I photographed the family of Great Horned Owls featured in my book, "Rice's Owls". They made their nest in a large oak tree just outside the backyard fence of Huff House.
This last winter, (2011/2012) I photographed a monarch butterfly feasting on a milkweed flower and some bees gathering nectar from a Lady in Red salvia flower in Alice's Garden just outside Huff House. This fall, I have photographed humming birds getting nourishment from these same Lady in Red salvia flowers.
Twelve of these photographs have been chosen to decorate the interview rooms for the Center for Career Development in Huff House, . They are printed on 16 x 24" aluminum.
